The 112′ Westport Risk & Reward continuously exceeds her excellent reputation for class, comfort, and luxury – all imperative qualities for a motor yacht operation. The vessel has received continuous updates and upgrades from 2018-2021. The following vessel walkthrough highlights the important refit details that make the Risk & Reward stand out in the competitive motor yacht market.
Engine Rebuild
Her most current and important remodel is the completion of her engine room and machinery refit. The main engines on the 2001 motor yacht have finalized their overhauls, zeroing out the engine hours. During this time, the exhaust risers were replaced with new Metcalf exhaust risers. The overhead insulation and sound proofing was replaced in the overhead compartments and the area was finished off with new overhead LED lighting. Both transmissions were rebuilt along with Naiad stabilizers. The impressive engine rebuild project totaled nearly $1,000,000 in upgrades.
Interior Updates
The Risk & Reward has also undergone an extensive and impressive interior remodel. From new soft goods like mattresses, bed coverings, sofas and chair cushions, to wallpaper, carpeting, and state of the art lighting, the interior of the yacht exudes a coastal modern decor that any owner or guest can appreciate. The audio and video equipment has all been replaced with the latest state of the art components. Apple TVs, TI Media System, Plex Movie Library, Pepwave Cellular, and Wave Wifi were added to name just a few impressive technological amenities.
The galley also underwent and impressive revamp, making it an entertaining haven and a chef’s dream. New appliances from top-of-line brands, tremendous and organized custom storage, and ample refrigeration and freezer space make hosting guests simple, elegant, and fun.
Exterior Updates
Last but certainly not the least, the refit would not be complete without the important navigational equipment to safely get you to your destination. The flybridge and pilothouse have brand new Garmin, Furuno, and Simrad equipment. The pilothouse also boast new soft goods that compliment the interior’s coastal modern decor, LED lighting, and V-Kool window tint. The outdoor flybridge area on the Westport has a new EZ2CY enclosure, and weatherproof LCD SkyVue TV mounted for viewing from the wet bar and new stainless steel grilling area. It’s a true outdoor haven for enjoying beautiful weather at sea or from the marina.
